Protected cell company

For customers wishing to take advantage of the benefits of a standalone Captive Insurance Company, but at a fraction of the price, RBS International has formed a sister company, Drummonds Insurance PCC Ltd (Drummonds PCC). Incorporated under the laws of Guernsey, this is a protected cell company.

Cells are governed under the Protected Cell Companies Ordinance 1997 (as amended) and The Insurance Business (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law 2002 (as amended), full details for both of which are available from any firm of advocates in Guernsey.

PCC's are also used to mitigate risk, assist in Risk Transfer and manage the Asset Liability Portfolio of any one or series of transactions.

Who can benefit?

All kinds of clients, including corporations wishing to segregate assets by group subsidiary or operating company, partners in joint ventures and strategic alliances requiring separate insurance cover, insurer and re-insurers acting on behalf of their customers and promoters of "Alternative Risk Transfer Products".
