Get off to a flying start

Already got your activation code? Now you're ready to start using the ibanking service.

Activating the service

  1. Make sure you are familiar with the security information and visit the ibanking site
  2. Enter your customer number
  3. Tick the box to show that you have received a new activation code in the post, then select the 'Next' button
  4. Enter your activation code. You will then be asked to choose a PIN and password. Make sure these are memorable - you will need to remember them every time you log in
  5. Destroy your activation code immediately

PIN and password

  • You will need to select your own four-digit personal identification number (PIN). Don't use the same one as your other cards
  • You will also need to choose a password. This must be between six and twenty characters. It can contain letters and numbers
  • When you log on, we only ever ask for random characters from your PIN and password

Making payments

First of all, complete the activation process. Then call our helpdesk on +44 (0) 1534 282870 to unlock your Smart Card Reader. Calls may be recorded.

At this time you will be asked to select a 4-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) for your Smart Card. Don't use the same PIN as you use for your ibanking login.
