Apply for a Spanish Mortgage

To apply for a Spanish Mortgage you require to complete the application form and collecting a few documents.

You will also need to provide the following documents:

• A minimum of the last 3 months' statements for your main transactional banking and income receiving account, together with any connected deposit/budget accounts
• Your latest 3 months payslips
• Certified copy of passport (showing reference number, photograph, nationality, signature and date of birth)*
• Two of the following documents (these will be returned to you):
  • recent utility bill (for example gas or telephone - mobile telephone bills are not acceptable)
  • local authority/tax bill
  • recent UK or local Bank or Building Society statement
  • motor or House Insurance certificate
  • local rent card or tenancy agreement
  • revenue Tax Notification document (must not be older than one year)
  • evidence of deposit funds held or paid, either through statements or confirmation from developer/lawyer

If you are self-employed or a Company Director, you must also provide:

• A minimum of the last 3 months business statements
• Letter from accountant confirming tax paid
• 3 years certified business accounts

You must provide original documents unless otherwise stated. We will return these to you as soon as possible.

* A certified copy passport is one which has been verified by a Lawyer, Accountant, Manager of a regulated Credit or Financial Institution, Notary Public, Member of the Judiciary, Senior Civil Servant, a British Embassy Official or a serving Police Officer. All documents must be certified as a true copy and any photographs should be certified as a true likeness. The certifier must sign and clearly print their name, date the certification and indicate their position or capacity on the copied document along with their contact details. We reserve the right to contact the countersigned or request additional documentary evidence from you.
